I have enjoyed the process of learning and experimenting. My belief is that no learning is wasted, you can build a knowledge base that will enable you to create art that is exciting to both view and create. Currently I am delving into the world of traditional gold gilding. It requires a great breadth of knowledge and skills. It is challenging but exciting to learn. I have also completed a number of works that incorporated my love of embroidery and the use of watercolours. I have used gold leaf in many of my past paintings but using modern techniques. I have a fondness for gold and all things whimsical and beautiful. I have a great appreciation for the old masters’ style of painting and I am honing my skills and techniques in order to emulate these beautiful paintings from the past but with a modern interpretation on the style. My love for beautiful fabrics and fashion is also something I like to incorporate into my art. I hope to continue creating beautiful pieces of art that others may enjoy!
